This video was filmed during a recording session from the album I am currently recording/producing for Dutch Newman, The Lonely Hearts Club (coming spring 2010).
So, far this is one of my favorite tracks we’ve gotten finished, featuring Stik Figa. It’s been a long time coming, this record was started a little over a year, then got put on hold for various reasons. I was moving into a new studio and getting settled in and trying to redevelop my sound as an artist and producer. And Dutch was well, Dutch was Dutch. So we started back up in early Dec last year to go in and really grind it out and get the album out in early 2010. We were making good progress, till I broke my leg in mid January. So we’ve been on hold since then, given I can’t physically make it up to the studio for a few weeks. Hoping to get back to it this weekend prior to Dutch’s opening performance at Liberty Hall with Asher Roth (Feb 20th, Sua), so we can finish this record up. We only have a few more songs to do and couple reference tracks that need to be recorded, so hopefully we will be wrapping up in the next couple of weeks.
